Solutions Portfolio - Air Cooling

Air cooling solutions provide reliable, efficient thermal management for data centers by circulating cooled air through server racks to remove the heat generated by IT equipment when running.

Heat is transferred from the processors and other components to the surrounding cold air.

These systems are generally used at lower rack densities.

Solutions Portfolio - Liquid Cooling

Liquid cooling solutions deliver high-performance thermal management for data centers with large rack densities and demanding workloads.

Using either cold plates mounted directly onto processors and other heat-generating components, or immersion techniques that bring cooling liquid into direct contact with IT hardware, these systems transfer heat efficiently from the chips to a liquid cooling circuit.

This enables better heat removal compared with air cooling systems & are usually used to cater to the evolving demands of AI and high-performance computing.

Solutions Portfolio - Controls

Daikin's integrated iDCM redefines data centre management by requiring 40% fewer sensors than traditional external control systems, leveraging all unit data directly from integrated sensors and controllers.

Capable of managing up to 20 chillers — including pumps and free-cooling mode — the iDCM offers centralised control suited for large-scale plants. Its five available configurations ensure flexible sizing, allowing the system to adapt to different installation needs.

Compatibility with plant design: Integrates various devices and offers comprehensive customer support, ensuring flexibility and tailored solutions for different project designs.

Complete system integration: Daikin’s in-house control system maximises efficiency by integrating unit logic, enhancing reliability and stable temperature control.

Smart sequencing: Uses machine learning to optimise unit combinations, ensuring the lowest energy consumption and adapting to load changes.

Modular Cooling Solutions

The Daikin Modular Chiller Plant (MCP) combines a chiller, cooling tower, pumps and piping in a factory engineered, factory assembled package including commissioning and after sales support.

High Quality Design, Engineering and Construction:
Pre-engineered, factory fabrication and assembly provide quality, which is consistent and in line with factory quality standards and exceed outside field practices.

Reduced Project Cost: Modular Solutions provide better performance whilst eliminating inefficient site activities associated with a conventional plant, reducing installation time and cost. With reduced site work, the lead times are also reduced ensuring faster project delivery. A modular plant has a compact design resulting in savings of valuable land, but ensuring that the design incorporates maintenance and service access.

Improved Efficiency: Daikin Modular Chiller Plant incorporates high quality engineering to combine efficient individual components to function as a highly efficient chiller plant.

Sustainable Cooling for Data Centers

How is Daikin working towards sustainability with its Data Center Solutions?

Daikin lowers data center Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and operational carbon footprints through eco-conscious thermal engineering tailored for high-density heat loads. By pairing low-global-warming-potential (GWP) refrigerants with intelligent ambient energy recovery, our systems minimize mechanical cooling requirements without compromising reliability.

Low-GWP Refrigerants with HFO-1234ze to drastically minimize environmental impact.

Highest levels of efficiency further enhanced by Waterside Free Cooling that harnesses ambient air to deliver thousands of hours of compressor-free cooling annually on air cooled chillers

Air cooled chillers are supported by Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in accordance with ISO 14025:2010.

After-sales Excellence

Wherever your data center may be, we are there, too. With a worldwide service and partner network, with over 13.000 employees in Europe, there are more than enough resources to cover all your needs.
