Known as "the green bank" due to its agricultural history, Crédit Agricole wanted an energy efficient and low maintenance air conditioning solution for one of its branches. Nearby the city centre, the bank needed air conditioning system that is compact enough to fit within small spaces but also operates at low-noise levels.
"Daikin's VRV IV i-series is a solution for the future and is ideal for city centres. This was my first installation with Daikin VRV IV i-series, and ever since, I have recommended Daikin to a variety of customers facing similar challenges."
- Richard Metivier, EIB installer
The unique flexibility of VRV IV i-series
The VRV IV i-series was the perfect solution for this project because it is a compact unit that uses a split design for installation flexibility. For this project, the installer placed one part of the unit (the compressor) within a small technical room and the second part (the heat exchanger), that connects the system to outside through ducting, in the false ceiling. An acoustic duct grille was added outdoors to lower the operational noise.
The advantages of the VRV system are twofold for the bank. The ability for the system to shut off overnight means it can reduce its operational noise levels. The VRV's compactness and installation also make it completely concealed from the outside.
